Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HForgeX website (hforgex.com), License Portal (portal.hforgex.com), Chrome browser extensions, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Hung Nguyen, operating as HForgeX ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you must be at least 16 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Services

HForgeX provides:

  • Chrome Browser Extensions — Productivity tools available through the Chrome Web Store, including free and paid (Pro) tiers.
  • Website (hforgex.com) — Product information, documentation, pricing, and marketing content.
  • License Portal (portal.hforgex.com) — Self-service platform for managing Pro license activations, device bindings, and renewal status.

3. Account-Free Model

HForgeX operates without user accounts. Your Pro license key and the email address used at purchase serve as your sole credentials for accessing the License Portal and managing your license. You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential.

4. Purchases & Payments

4.1 Payment Processing

All purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy, our third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to LemonSqueezy's terms of service and privacy policy. HForgeX does not directly store credit card numbers or payment account details.

4.2 Pricing

Pro licenses are sold as a one-time purchase. Prices are displayed on our Pricing page and may vary by product and region. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; price changes do not affect existing purchases.

4.3 Taxes

Applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.) are calculated and collected by LemonSqueezy at the time of purchase in accordance with applicable laws.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all Pro license purchases. To request a refund:

  1. Email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase.
  2. Include your order ID or license key.
  3. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.

Upon refund, your Pro license will be revoked. Pro features will be deactivated at the next online license verification check. The free tier remains available.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue burden on the Services or their infrastructure.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Services, servers, or networks.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Services without permission.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code through or in connection with the Services.
  • Use the Services to violate the intellectual property rights of any third party.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, branding, logos, trademarks, documentation, and other materials available through the Services are the exclusive property of HForgeX or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use HForgeX trademarks, trade names, or branding without prior written consent.

8. User Content

HForgeX extensions process data locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit your content (screenshots, text, URLs, etc.) to our servers. The only personal information we process is the email address provided at purchase for license delivery and support, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Services integrate with or depend on third-party platforms:

  • Chrome Web Store — Extension distribution. Subject to Google's terms.
  • LemonSqueezy — Payment processing. Subject to LemonSqueezy's terms.
  • Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, and serverless infrastructure. Subject to Cloudflare's terms.

We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain availability of the Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control. Free-tier extensions function fully offline. Pro license verification operates offline-first, requiring internet only for initial activation and periodic status checks.

11. Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services, in whole or in part, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Services. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination. Sections 7, 13, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HFORGEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO HFORGEX IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HForgeX and its affiliates, officers, and employees from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the competent courts of Vietnam for the resolution of any disputes.

16. Force Majeure

HForgeX shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, internet outages, sole operator incapacity, or acts of third parties.

17. General Provisions

17.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

17.2 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

17.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the License Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Perpetual License Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and HForgeX regarding the Services.
